  15. There are two versions (at least) of TeX on Aminet.  The recommended 
  16. choice, at this time, is PasTeX 1.4.  I believe it is under text/tex 
  17. and called pt14d.lha (it's a 10M file though---an excerpt from a CD-ROM 
  18. version).  It contains TeX v3.1415, MF v2.71, and Latex 2e (as well as 
  19. an option of 2.09).  I think the fonts are old, and the amstex package 
  20. is not completely installed, but it's quite functional.

  22. It's also possible (without too much trouble, I think) to get the 
  23. original source, and compile it yourself (likely with GNU C).
